Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

hi guys,

...so I hope you all noticed that a lossless drm removing running win vista and wmp11 isn't possible at the moment...
be productive and use little lossy DRM removal tools like Soundtaxi (my fave) and wait till a fixed (updated) version of drmdbg or FairUse4WM is released...
wait and hope

greetings flying out to everyone

lui

Follow the instructions exactly and do not update your Windows. This should be enough.

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

Hello,
I am getting the "11.0.6000.6324 isn't supported yet" error when I try to recover my keys, but when I look at my windows media player version it says I have 11.0.5721.5230. It was working for a while, then all of the sudden just started telling me the my file requires a different key. I've tried deleting my DRM folder using "rmdir DRM" in the command prompt, but it won't let me, it says I have files in there. I can't see my DRM folder though, even though I have Hidden Files set to visible. I can browse into the DRM folder by typing in it's path, but once inside, I can't see any files in it. I've also tried creating a new DRM folder, but windows won't let me. Any ideas?

btw, I need WMP 11 so I can watch Netflix "Watch Instantly Movies" Gotta get our moneys' worth .

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

hey everyone...has anyone had this problem yet???

yesterday..i was doing my usual..removind DRM to a wmv file...

I use WMP 10...put in the necessary info...but WMP asked me to update my security..at first i refused...but it would not take the login information...

unwillingly..i updated the security...it took the login info...but now the FairUse4WM no longer works..was this a DRM upgrade and that is why WMP asked for a security update...

i tried go back to WMP 9 same issue...redownloaded WMP 10 same result...

any ideas..any new version of FairUse? and suggestions???

Thank you...

Derek

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

Folks,
I am not having any luck with the program. Mirakagi does not find keys.

To make sure that I am doing this properly, I have a couple of questions:

1. How do I check the WMP rev level to make sure that it is supported by FairUse4WM?

2. My WMP does not have an option to check settings. How can I do this?

3. Once this is confirmed, what are the exact steps to successfully use these programs.
