I cannot downgrade the Zune software (which would then allow me to downgrade WMP), and am wanting to know if there is anyway around this? If there is no updated version of FairUse that can deal with this, is there another DRM protection remover I can use?
When a content provider forces you to upgrade, the only solution I see is to use lossy DRM removal software.

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

Is there any software that strips the DRM protection without playing and recording the song? Like how FairUse just stripped the DRM protection in like four seconds. I don't want to sit and have every song simply played and recorded.

I didn't really understand your question. Please try to elaborate...

FairUse4WM and freeme2 work much faster than in Real time. And they both have automation tools to remove DRM protection from multiples files.

Lossy DRM removal software are not that fast, but at least some of these programs can re-record your DRM-protected files at say 12x, 24x or 48x speed.

Does anyone know if there will ever be an updated version of FairUse4WM that will work with the newest version of WMP?

Napster DRM troubles with fairuse4wm

I have successfully utilized fairuse4wm for Ruckus music downloads for a while, but cannot get Napster downloads to work. Has anyone successfully stripped DRM from Napster downloads? What did you have to do to get the keys / make the programs work, etc.

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

I downloaded fairuse4wm and its titled fu4wm13fix on my desktop (not sure what version)... When i try starting it up i can only hit recover keys or cancel and when i hit recover keys i get an error message saying IBX components do not appear to be present. I tried figuring out how to get past this issue myself and I think it might have to do with me not doing a security component upgrade but when i go to http://services.wmdrm.windowsmedia.c...en/indivit.asp it won't let me hit the upgrade button... so I'm not sure what to do.

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

Hi Stream Recorder, you said that when a content provider forces you to upgrade your WMP, the only option is to use lossy recorder type softwares... my question is does this mean installing WMP v11 beta 2 or beta 3 (as mentioned as an option in the undrm.info site) is not really an option anymore? ie. do you know of any current content providers (eg. napster, nokia comes with music etc.) where any method/config still works? Eg. using virtual pc to install win xp and installing wmp v11 beta2/3?
