Problem playing video after converting with FairUse4WM

FairUse4WM only converts the first few seconds. When i open the new file it says that it is 1:26:00 long but only plays the first few seconds of the hour and half movie. What is wrong?

Re: Download FairUse4WM - to strip DRM protection from Windows Media Player 10,11 WMV

You cannot repair video files with DRM.

You can only repair/fix if it has no DRM

Catch 22 there

If it converts file to an unplayable one, then you can try to repair/fix it.

As for DRMed files, obviously there are no converting or repairing software.

maxupload isn't even listed for fix2 and not one of the links works. Microsoft has been busy I guess!

What do you get after trying to hit the OK button in the "Extract DRMv1 Keys" dialog?

fu4wm works on Windows XP just not with the latest IBX. there seems to be nothing esoteric. you just

1. downgrade your WMP so that it has supported IBX

or

2. use fresh copy of Windows XP (it can be a standalone installation or on a virtual machine)

If you can't see the file then you either
1. Haven't unchecked the "Hide protected operating system files" option

or

2. Haven't indivisualized your system (have you ever played DRM protected files?)

What kind of DRM protectio do you want to remove? From legally purchased files? From CD ripped audio files?
