Re: HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Pla

I am having a problem.

I do not have a indiv01.key in my cache folder, only a indiv01.tmp file. A search for indiv01.key yielded nothing.

What gives?

Thanks.

Re: HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Pla

Ok I reinstalled WMP and now the key file exists in my cache.

My version however is v11.0.6000.6324.

Im getting the same read/memory errors that some other people have posted.

When I "individualize my computer" by clicking that security component upgrade link, it takes me to the web page but the link that says "UPGRADE" is grayed out and I cannot click on it.

How do I get 11.0.6000.7000?

Ugh ok so I needed to be using IE and not Firefox, and was able to click UPGRADE.

Im still stuck however because even after the upgrade I am at 11.0.6000.6324 and not .7000.

Any ideas?

Re: HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Pla

Hello! I've been using drmdbg in conjunction with freeme2, and after having some initial difficulty I've gotten it to work... somewhat.

I'm at 11.0.6000.7000 on drmdbg, running on Vista. I have to use the "media usage rights" trick in WMP to get a SID code to appear (right-click on file name, then hit properties and the media usage rights tabs after clicking multiscan in drmdbg).

HOWEVER, a .key file is never created. I have both programs in the same folder and have the key directory set to there and I have disabled the key directory option.

Even though it doesn't make a key, I don't have to copy/paste the SID because freeme2 seems to automatically decode the music and create a freed file after it's been run through drmdbg. (I've searched my computer, and there are no .key files anywhere!)

Sounds great, right? BUT, BUT, the freed file is completely messed up. Its properties still report it at the right length, size, etc., but the "song" only lasts for 5 seconds at the most, and it's completely silent! I just get a garbled noise right before it goes out.

Anyone have any clue what could be causing this? Any help is appreciated!

How to upgrade IBX from 11.0.6000.6324 to v11.0.6000.7000

Instead of upgrading IBX from 11.0.6000.6324 to v11.0.6000.7000, you need to downgrade IBX from 11.0.6000.6324 to lower version or to v11.0.6000.7000.

Re: HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Pla

I'm having problems.
When I first go to http://services.wmdrm.windowsmedia.c...en/indivit.asp
I can not click Upgrade, so I assume the DRM Process is already set up?

When setting up the filename path for the *.key file mine doesn't have the cache directory. In the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM directory is a DRMv1.key and IndivBox.key file

thus the edited coding in the drmdbg.ini file
[IndivBoxKey]
path=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\IndivBox.key
[drmv2clt]
path=C:\WINDOWS\system32\drmv2clt.dll

When opening up drmdbg.exe
The following pop-up occurs.
drmdbg - "ReadProcessMemory_error" which I would need to press OK twice before WMP would open

*now no error occurs, but also WMP does not open

What am I doing wrong?

Re: HowTo Instructions for Removing DRM with drmdbg & FreeMe2 (from Windows Media Pla

i have been succeed in solving the readprocessmemory_error problem.

1.use windows media player 10, not 11.
if you use 11 now, you can follow the steps:

(1). uninstall wmp 11 (control panel, add/remove programs, windows components)
(2). uninstall wmp 11 runtime (control panel, add/remove programs)
(3). uninstall Microsoft User-Mode Driver Frameworks (control panel, add/remove programs). if the Wudf01000 confirmation box appears click OK and continue
(4). Open a command window. Click Start-->Run enter cmd and hit enter.
(5). change directories: cd \doc*\all* <--puts you in \Documents and Settings\All Users
(6). remove unwanted attributes from the DRM directory: attrib -s -h DRM
(7). Open Windows Explorer, navigate to \Documents and Settings\All Users and then delete the DRM directory
(8). go to microsoft.com/download and get wmp 10
(9). install wmp 10

2.upgrade your drm at:
http://services.wmdrm.windowsmedia.c...en/indivit.asp

3.install FairUse4WM 1.3 Fix-2

4.open a .wmv file that has drm license, access the license.after pop out a windows says "you have received a license"(wait untill the play button is available),close the window(don't hit play button),then close the windows media player.

4.use FairUse4WM to translate the file.(you can search for how to use FairUse4WM)

sorry for my poor english.glad if i can help.
