www.channel4.com: Any way to capture video from the new 4OD service?

Hi - can anyone help me? I'm trying to download a video which occurs on channel 4.com and YouTube featuring Tim Vine. The two URLs respectively are:

and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r13sG3Bs9c8




They just refuse to come over on any software I have used. I'm no expert on this, so if you have any advice, it needs to be basic for my little brain.

i was unable to play your YouTube video from my location. i have also tried US and UK VPN but couldn't play it. you can try to grab it using RTMPexplorer + rtmpdump package.

I think the problem is I cannot get the video 'cause, even though RTMPexplorer captures the url and parameters, the video doesn't start playing in the browser, so it won't start recording; and I guess that's because of the crappy proxy I use, hehe.

yes I the same happens to me, you need to clear temporary folders, cookies. Use CCleaner for example. Only then it starts to play.

Just tried with a VPN connection.
The video didn't start playing, but I finally got the file... so great!

@tri311 Could't get the YouTube one, while viewing the page on RTMPexplorer YouTube said there had been an error, somewhat like what happens with CooJah when trying to get a video from an rtmps stream... here's the one on 4oD: http://www.mediafire.com/?wozy6625ptc2y7u

We have fixed a little bug of 4OD streams detecting. Latest GetFLV can download channel 4 videos no problem.

sadly does not work on my system at this time
the step between

and reload and play seems to confuse something and it gives me
