Note: "drmdbg.ini" should be created in the "DRM Removal Kit" directory".
May not be required! Do no change anything if the settings below already have paths filled in. In "drmdbg.ini", change:

Code:
[IndivBoxKey]
path=
[drmv2clt]
path=(on Windows XP) INTO

Code:
[IndivBoxKey]
path=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\Cache\Indiv01.key
[drmv2clt]
path=C:\WINDOWS\system32\drmv2clt.dll
I am just starting with this tool. I dont know where to put thoe code though. which specific box do I need to put the code in, then whats next?

Lops, the code is changed in the file drmdbg.ini. You can open it with a text editor like Windows Notepad.

drmdbg.ini is created in the same folder where your drmdbg.exe is located.

By default, it is set to to folder that drmdbg is located. Also, the option to create a separate folder for the "DRM2.key" is enabled by default. Let's say that drmdbg is located in C:\drmdbg. By default, the DRM2.key file would go inside C:\drmdbg\DRM2\DRM2.key.

In the "simplified kit", I made a very simple adjustment to the ini file that disabled the "Create DRM2 Dir" option by default. Thus, the key would simply appear in the same folder as drmdbg.

If the file isn't being created at all, then the problem might be that drmdbg just isn't finding the keys. (Which is why it doesn't export anything...)

As for your problem... Some people have been reporting that Yahoo! Music isn't working with drmdbg. One user reported that FairUse4WM 1.3 works for some reason.

Do you use Yahoo! Music?

I'm having the same issue that dr29 was having...it doesn't generate a key, but I was wondering if maybe Ruckus was another program that it didn't work well with?

I appreciate all your help and time so you know
Again though, This file is not in my computer
I did a search looking for drmdbg.ini and it did not locate it. Now if that file is hidden then a search might not locate it. But, I did look in the hidden DRM directory and it is not in there.
After you said it is where the drmdbg.exe is, I looked in there and here is a picture of that folder.

maybe I didnt extract it right?
I know that I cant fet fairuse4 to run it gets an error when i try to run that......

maybe you can talk to me on messenger and walk me through getting this to work. If you can Ill send you $15.00 on paypal.
thanks

Extract the files and run drmdbg.exe. drmdbg.ini will appear in the same folder.

I am able to get everything working up to the last step by following these instructions. I enter in my SID when asked then FreeMe2.exe gets an error and stops responding. Last step the batch file got to was "starting to process data packets 22040 packets of length 8000".

Details on the error say: Problem signature:

I have tried this with 3 different protected video files and get the same result. Any guesses as to what could be causing this error or suggestions on what I could do to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
