Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI notice on WP, an iview user posted details of napper logs they sent to support because of problems they were having with their unmetered service. /facepalm

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersYeah, whilst not specifically blaming that user, overall it doesn't help.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI didn't as it was old code, but it looks to have some recent activity, so I've downloaded it and will check it out.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersHas anyone been able to download the show "Operation Babylift"?
It plays on iView Player. Downloaders, and HiDownload, Stream Transport fail to get it. |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI haven't used batch downloader (Windows) for a while, but the v15.85 and 15.86 (just installed) give error messages.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersThe Business 7 August stops at ~3Mb (3%) - seems OK on iView Player (I viewed the first couple of minutes, then skipped ahead a few times).
I really want to see this one - has anyone managed to download all of it? Examining it with FireFox and FlashGot, it has a manifest f4m file and a series of segments. Strange that the next day's The Business (8 August) is still amenable with rtmpdump. Last edited by gxdata : 08-08-2013 at 11:08 PM. |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersThis is possibly/probably irrelevant to downloaders using rtmpdump.exe - unless some parameters need tweaking. I haven't explored that.
There have been some changes to iView servers that send the video stream down to us - particularly for those with unmetered ISPs - see iView Message Board, here According to that message, this will also affect devices and operating systems where the version of Adobe Flash Player (eg, installed into browser) is older. For example, using PS3 devices to view iView shows through the Player website seems to cause the usually unmetered server to switch to a metered one. I have discovered that for Windows, the latest Flash Player version is 11.8.800.94 (Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox). See here for the latest version for Chrome and Linux (etc). |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersContact me if you want to discuss some free hosting on an out of country server. That is one that cannot be easily shut down by Australians. stream-recorder.com@roddines.com
