Download Fairuse4WM 1.4 for free

Many people ask me when Fairuse4WM 1.4 will be available and where to download Fairuse4WM 1.4 for free.

Unfortunately viodentia haven't made any upgrades lately to the program so you may download Fairuse4WM 1.3 fix only. It doesn't work well with Windows Vista and with the latest versions of Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP, but you may downgrade Windows Media Player and install say WMP 11 beta 2 or you may install a fresh copy of Windows XP (disable automatical updates so that you won't download the latest version of WMP with them) with the versions of Windows Media Player lower than 11.0.5497.6285.

You may also use other DRM removal software like Soundtaxi. Soundtaxi uses lossy conversion, but it saves your ID3 tags such as song name and artist. But it works with versions of WMP 11, that are not supported by Fairuse4WM so it is much easier to install it. And it is free to try so you may check whether it works for you with your version of WMP.

Does that mean it can work with Vista by downgrading Windows Media Player 11 Final to 11.0.5705.5043, or that it doesn't work at all.

FairUse4WM doesn't work on Windows Vista. At least I haven't seen anyone who was able to use FU4WM on Vista. But you can remove DRM protection from Windows Media Player on Windows Vista.

As for software I can't upload it myself. Will try to get some links.

Does anybody know around the time and maybe some guesses as to what the Windows Update was that disabled Fairuse4WM 1.3 or Fairuse4WM 1.3 Fix? It probably isn't a good idea to disable Windows Automatic Update Entirely. Another thing is I have a lower build of Windows Media Player 11 than 11.0.5497.6285, and it still won't work with Fairuse4WM 1.3 Fix. I need to reinstall my OS sometime soon anyway so maybe then I will be able to experiment. Thanks ahead of time for any fresh input or ideas.

It turns out that I was wrong. I don't have the Windows Media Player 11 Build that is lower than 11.0.5497.6285 or 11.0.5705.5043. My Build is 11.0.5721.5145. plus my other questions on my previous post, does anybody have these file versions of WMP 11 that they can share (As long as it's not Illegal to do that.) and post a link to on this page or direct me somewhere else ? Please forgive me for asking about one of the lower versions of WMP since I see now that there is a couple of links on this thread (Hopefully the 11.0.5705.5043 build works just as good as the versions lower than 11.0.5497.6285.). I guess I skimmed over the info kind of fast and missid it for some reason. If it was a snake it would have bit me.
If anybody knows the answer to my previous post about an idea on the windows automatic update or updates that thwarted the latest Fairuse4WM I'm still open to peoples input. I havn't answered my own question on that. Ha! Ha! Ha!
