Is there a software that can capture microsoft's new silverlight?

I thought silverlight was just a new platform including plug-ins for Windows and Mac OS that used Windows Media streams.

Have you tried any Windows Media stream recorder on silverlight?

I don't know of a video stream to test it on. do you?

Sorry for not making it clear. I meant any streaming video recorder that supports Windows Media. WM Recorder is a nice choice for Windows Media streams.

Why on earth do you need to record something you have never seen?

p.s. M$ is a weird company. They use RTMP flash streams at MSN, while trying to advertise Silverlight.

Have you tried Replay Media Catcher 4 (Jaksta)? It supports version 1 of Smooth Streaming Media which is what a lot of videos on nbcolympics.com are streaming. Some are version 2 which I am still working on. In any case RMC 4 (Jaksta) will tell you if its version 2 and not yet supported.

Please read the following about Smooth Streaming Media and how to handle the resulting fragmented MP4 file.

I've just wrote a CLI program in C# which can download Smooth Streaming Media and can mux it to MKV.

If you want to test my program. It is available on:

it was designed to download streams from http://www.rtlklub.hu/most/, but its engine is might useful to solve your problems too.
