Here how to turn off (disable) hibernation in Windows 7
  • Open "Control Panel" -> "Power Options" -> "Change the advanced power settings".
  • Expand "Sleep" and "Hibernate after"
  • Under "Hibernate after", set the Setting (Minutes) to "Never".
  • Under "Allow hybrid sleep", set Setting to "Off"
  • Click the "OK".

You can also disable hibernation (or remove hibernation file) from the command prompt. Just type

powercfg -h
in the command prompt and press the "Enter" button. Then close the command prompt.
