rtmpsuck will keep saving without an active client, but .. usually the Adobe client sends a DeleteStream message when it stops playing, and so the remote server will stop sending. if you can kill the player without giving it a chance to close the stream, then it will keep being recorded.

I tried that workaround by killing the browser process but it doesn't seem to work for either Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer. The stream is saved untill the timeout (60 seconds). Apart from that for Firefox and Chrome killing the browser process closes all browser instances which is a bit unsettling.

The overhead for implementing the "ignore DeleteStream" for rtmpsuck is so big that it practically forbids this option?

Really thanks for all the answering.
