eurovisionsports.tv: recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

OK, so I've managed to get some sort of URL after 5 hours of tears, frustrations, and about 6 different types of sniffing/URL-getting software.

I'm a complete noob, and now I've got some URLs that don't really make sense. How do I make sense of them?

It is (probably) an secure stream. Here is the output from NetXFer (NetTransport):
Code:

rtmp://cp80597.live.edgefcs.net:1935/live?auth=da_b.aldLcMaQbwbQbLdRbTdpbubVaHdjbo-blDE4J-E-pkE-q8r7&aifp=v01<break>cbp_nonrk_1@s15586?auth=da_b.aldLcMaQbwbQbLdRbTdpbubVaHdjbo-blDE4J-E-pkE-q8r7&aifp=v01?sid=undefined&m=library.flv
http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics/
http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics/custom/digotel/live/flvPlayer.swf?678517.2292043543

It's not protected content per-se; I have usage rights (as does every european), but idea is to write stream to disc, then watch it delayed (connection issues/flash player/misc).

Sorry for being such an idiot. I'm sure I'm getting close to the finish line here..

Re: eurovisionsports.tv: recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

Common, you are not an idiot! Stay positive!

eurovisionsports.tv uses SWF verification. NetTransport just doesn't show that.

You can try to capture such streams with Jaksta, but you need to change its RTMP settings from downloading to recording.

And you can try to use rtmpdump, which is a freeware command line utility.

rtmpdump and eurovisionsports.tv

Trying to watch this summer's soccer special on eurovisionsports.tv using rtmpdump I fail miserably.

This is the report from the rtmpsuck (on Windows with HOSTS edit) when trying to view the stream via the browser:

Re: rtmpdump and eurovisionsports.tv

On Windows you can try to capture RTMP streams using Jaksta or freeware Orbit Grab Pro.

Re: eurovisionsports.tv: recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

If you're using Windows and the Hosts file, you can only use rtmpsrv, not rtmpsuck. You need to have a TCP redirector to use rtmpsuck.

The log you've posted above is only sufficient to establish the connection, you haven't actually gotten the playpath in that log. The value you're providing for the playpath is bogus, that's part of the Connect request packet, not the playpath. Since you don't know how to read these logs, you should just use rtmpsrv, which outputs all of the parameters for you.

I tried to use rtmpsrv but it reports:

and stays there forever. I can kill the process only through Task manager.

Actually rtmpsuck works a bit better as it reports:

Re: eurovisionsports.tv: recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

Regardless, the fact remains that none of this output includes a Playpath, and as the documentation clearly states, you can't use rtmpdump without a playpath.

I managed to get rtmpsuck to work correctly under windows (rtmpsuck reports the info requested and it performs the streaming to the browser).

rtmpsuck reports:

The command line I figured out is the following:
Quote:

rtmpdump -V -v -r "rtmp://cp80588.live.edgefcs.net:1935/live?auth=da_dDdHdQc7d8bxd5bhbraLaGa8c5b5d.bh-bmfsMS-E-wnG-l8sa&aifp=v01" -p http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ -a "live?auth=da_dDdHdQc7d8bxd5bhbraLaGa8c5b5d.bh-bmfsMS-E-wnG-l8sa&aifp=v01" -f "WIN 10,0,45,2" -W "http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics/custom/digotel/live/flvPlayer.swf?156788.86968159585" -t "rtmp://cp80588.live.edgefcs.net:1935/live?auth=da_dDdHdQc7d8bxd5bhbraLaGa8c5b5d.bh-bmfsMS-E-wnG-l8sa&aifp=v01" -y "cbp_ebu_1@s15065?auth=da_dDdHdQc7d8bxd5bhbraLaGa8 c5b5d.bh-bmfsMS-E-wnG-l8sa&aifp=v01?sid=null&m=library" -o output.flv

Which unfortunately reports the same as previous efforts "NetStreamFailed":

The only thing I can see is that rtmpdump sends "NetStream.Play.Start" with a value of just "cbp_ebu_1@s15065" instead of the
actual playpath "cbp_ebu_1@s15065?auth=da_dDdHdQc7d8bxd5bhbraLaGa8 c5b5d.bh-bmfsMS-E-wnG-l8sa&aifp=v01?sid=null&m=library" but I guess this must be for a good reason.

I repeat that "rtmpsuck" works and saves locally two files "cbp_ebu_1@s15065" and "cbp_ebu_1@s1506501", both video files although the first is just 12467 bytes. The "two file" thing seems to be consistent for many times I tried. The first file is between 5000 and 12000 bytes (video file according the metadata). The second one holds the main video.

Version: rtmpdump "509-SVN".

Most likely your auth parameter is only valid for a single use and then expires.

You should also look at rtmpsuck -z, it's possible there are additional authentication requests happening that you haven't provided for rtmpdump.

I have uploaded the logfile on pastebin

Code:

http://www.pastebin.org/331058
I cannot see additional authentication requests....

Since rtmpsuck can correctly connect (via the browser) and playback the stream can an option be added to it so that it can continue saving the file localy even after the client disconnects and the timeout expires?
