Can't get copy protected CD ripped .WMA files to play with WMP on clean Windows XPAlright, so I wiped my HDD and migrated all my files to a newly installed copy of tinyXP. The problem is many of my WMA's are copy protected. Well I finally tried downloading a license with Windows media player, and now they won't play at all, it says they're corrupt.
I just want the damn copy protection off them. they're my CDs, my files, I don't understand how this got there. I'm looking for something that will massively scan my entire 20GB media library, and either convert all WMA's to working MP3s, or strip the copyright protection off of them. Thanks in advance. |

Re:Can't get copy protected CD ripped .WMA files to play with WMP on clean Windows XPI'm not sure whether you will be able to get DRM licenses with tinyXP. Try a full version of Windows XP or some other Windows.
Please note that Microsoft allows to re-acquire licenses for your CD ripped .WMA copy-protected files 8 times only. The following thread will help you to remove copy-protection after getting valid licenses: Remove DRM from music files with WMP protection ripped from Audio CDs And never ever rip CDs to DRM protected files! p.s. It might be better to rip your CDs one more time if you have the originals. |
