How can i get always connection with my home network extern harddiskI am searching for a method to get access to my extern hard disk wherever I am, so I can stream music and films. I think that the best way to do this is to connect my extern hard disk with my router (netgear) and find a way to get access to my router at any time. i have tried a ftp server but than i can't stream from my external hard disk.
I use Mac OS Lion and would like to use time machine. Does some of you know a way to do this? Thanks for your help and sorry for my english its not my first language. Jesse |

Re: How can i get always connection with my home network extern harddiskhello,
I'm totally new in this forum, but you can use subsonic, I think in the last version you can stream video as well. On the other hand, you can use "no-ip.org" to get a dinamic dns to access to your computer. And if i'm not wrong, if you colaborate with subsonic proyect, they provide you a dinamic dns, but I've never try it. I hope it helps. |
