and ive already seen that blurb with the blue webpage and the mentions of the various media captures programs, so lets skip that part.

ive tried all those. none of them work. what format is that video and why can i not capture it?

Please mention a list of software that doesn't work with philoctetes.org. It is a simple HTTP stream so most of the programs mentioned in our FAQ can download it.

I've tried Replay Media Catcher and even posted a tutorial that shows you how to download with it step by step.

Because it is an HTTP video, you may have problem recording it if it is in the cache of your web-browser already. You can either copy the video from the browser cache or empty the cache folder and try to record again.
