One can always use screen video capture software to record streaming videos.

I'm not sure about other streaming video recorders, but ... I can let you know this for free, although donations are welcomed ...
Jaksta (in the RTMP packet capturing mode) and Grab Pro don't have any problems capturing RTMP video streams from 4tube.com and saving them to hard disk

p.s. You are probably right about downloading from 4tube, but avid users can try to download 4tube videos with GetFLV or rtmpdump.
