WM Capture error: Cannot Run Graph

I bought WM Capture to record webinar screens and the audio that goes with them.

When I try to record the "gotowebinar" window, WM Capture throws an error message "Cannot Run Graph".

Troubleshooting post said to download updated "activeX" and to uninstall WM Capture then reinstall WM Capture.

After following the recommendations, WM Capture still does the same thing and throws the error message again.

I've emailed tech support twice but no response.

Anyone know what to do?

Check your trash/spam folder, applian is usually right on top of responding to issues. Also, make sure you leave the box checked to be notified of a response when you submit you ticket with them.

At any rate, I had this same issue myself and the response I got was this:

The "Cannot Run Graph" error is related to the version of DirectX installed on your machine. You need to have version 9 or higher installed in order to run WM Capture. My recommendation would be to make sure you are running DirectX 9 (or 10 if your graphics card will support it) and that should take care of the problem.

Also, You might want to try uninstalling WM Capture, restarting your computer and re-installing it. Usually this has to be done for it to realize that the proper version of DirectX has been installed.

I know you said you did these things already....so, what version of direct x do you have now?

Re: WM Capture error: Cannot Run Graph

I find that I have DirectX 9.oc and WM Capture still says it "cannot display graph"

There is no mention in the troubleshooting FAQ of what to do if the directions to solve the problem, don't solve the problem.

Tech support wrote me telling me they replied to the issue but I have not seen it and I am not getting any additional rsponse to my problem.

I have another webinar I need to record Thursday Morning. Because WM Capture will not do it, any idea of what program will record it?
The only one I know of is Camstasia Studio and I don't have the funds for that.

Anyone got any ideas for me?

Try to re-install DirectX. Also run WM Capture with administrative rights.

This is now an official support forum for WM Capture.

There are lots of other screen video capture programs. For example, you can try freeware CamStudio.

Re: WM Capture error: Cannot Run Graph

Here is the answer I got from Applian on this issue:

Regarding the Cannot run graph error - 99.9% of the time this is unresolvable, it has to do with a driver conflict and basically means that directshow does not function properly... which is beyond our control.

There is a SLIGHT chance to get it working, but again..this is beyond our control so I can't make any promises.

From my understanding, The "Cannot Run Graph" error is related to the version of DirectX installed on your machine.
