i want source code or a tutorial to create a video conference applicationHello everybody,
I badly need either an open source video conference application or a good tutorial that can help me make one. I need it opensource, so that i can modify it on my own way. I i need it for my final year project, so i can't use installer or whatever. If anyone can direct me on that. I've been surfing for days, without great results. The video conference source code can be with flash or in java..... but my preference is flash +red5 server. Even the tutorial should meet the same criteria. I want something like skype. The application should detect my microphone and webcam. It should be u I dont want codes that create room or whatever. Even if there is a chat system with the video and audio system, it's okie with me And please can anyone, explain me, how the video conferencing system works??I am new to these things. I see video streaming and many new things. Can some1 explain me, what goes on?? |

Re: i want source code or a tutorial to create a video conference applicationYou can get a JW Player or another player and broadcast live streams with red5 or any other server. You can easily broadcast a live video stream with sound from you mic and video from your web-cam.... Just read more about live RTMP streaming with red5 and JW Player.
The problem is that you need video conferencing, it means that at least two people should be able to talk to each other and preferably see videos of each other. Streaming servers can probably do that, but I'm not an expert in this field. Ask the red5 community about it. |

Re: i want source code or a tutorial to create a video conference applicationThere should be free open source applications for video conferencing. I don't really know which one of them is written in Java though.
ekiga is a freeware open source video conferencing application. It uses open standards like SIP instead of proprietary protocols. ekiga supports Linux and Windows. |
