How to view Camera connected to internet through DVRHi
I want to watch the cameras installed at my home over the internet from anywhere. For that I have connected my DVR to my router(connected with ADSL modem) and added the 3 ports mentioned in dvr settings in the port forwarding of my router and set the dvr in DMZ. Now when I view the camera over lan it works fine but when I try it over the internet then I have a problem. When I enter the external IP address a popup appears asking for username and password. I tried entering the username and password of DVR, Router and Modem but nothing works. It says login failed. I dont know why. How can I resolve this issue? PS: My modem has dynamic IP and no ddns settings enabled. But I should be able to view the camera still, I just need to re-enter the IP when it changes? Am I right about it? |

Re: How to view Camera connected to internet through DVROk so I take it you have done port forwarding properly.
http://qrcctv.co.uk/cctv/cctv-port-forwarding I have a feeling one of th ports that you have done is wrong. (Probably server port) Are you 100% sure that the DVR username and password is correct? Some DVR's have a different log in for Internet viewing. |

Re: How to view Camera connected to internet through DVRYou are correct, if you don't use the DDNS service, that means you need to re-type the new dynamic IP address for visiting.
It pop-ups login window, that means you can access the DVR, login failure means you input wrong account or password. Basically, the online login accounts are different from administrator account for DVR. You should check your DVR and find the correct account information (possible add users), hence you have the permission to access the DVR. |
