vga to rcaI want to view my pc through my older analog tv.
Would I be able to use a male-to-male rca, plug one set into the tv's rca, then plug the other male set into a vga to rca-female adapter and plug the vga into my computer? Or would I need a vga to rca-male adapter and skip the above process. I also have hdmi and dvi options on my video card, but I unfortunately only have rca on my television. I am already using the dvi slot for my lcd, but I would like to dual display with the television, so I would need to use the vga or hdmi if possible. What adapter would best suite my dilemma? vga to rca (male or female), hdmi to rca, or dvi to rca and use vga on my monitor. Any input would be most appreciated. |

Re: vga to rcaHi, there!
I think I have read about this setup in the past, but I haven't tested it myself. If memory serves me correctly, what you are trying to achieve (PC connected to old TV) is technically possible, but not feasible in practical terms due to quality issues. Due to differences in resolution, your PC VGA output on your tube TV will look terrible, and you will not be able, for the most part, to read text. If you don't mid about this (and probably other inconsistencies), then, yes, it is possible. Carlos Albert Disco Makberto |
