How to use Red5 for streaming videosHello,
We are getting a video portal where users can upload videos which when will be converted to flash and published on the site. And we want real time streaming of videos instead of the progressive download and in order to achieve that we got Red5 installed on our dedicated server. But, we are unable to use the services of Red5 to stream videos, we dont know how to import the Red5 streams directory into our project. If I am not wrong the Red5 streams videos which are present in its "Streams" directory, right ? And if thats the case, is it possible to push all our videos ( uploaded by users) to this streams directory which is present under the programs files in the server and not in the actual project? If somebody could help me with this it would just be wonderful. Thanks Nikhil Jain |

Re: How to use Red5 for streaming videosHello Nikhil:
*** may be the solution for the problem you encounter. It's based on FMS and has an encoding application also which users can use to upload flash videos. Red5 has slower time response than FMS (Flash Media Server) so I suggest you switch to this option. Regards Catalin |
