unknown cable (identified as firewire IEEE 1394 cable)

Does anyone have any idea what this cable is for?

I found it in a box and can't find anything that it might fit.

Thanks!

Re: unknown cable

Seems to be a firewire (IEEE 1394) connector. It is usually used to connect digital video cameras to your computer. But firewire can also be used with on other devices including portable hard disks.
