ChinaPhone (MTK) AudioSetting v2.0 - free Windows software allowing to tweak audio settings of Chinese MTK mobile phones like Star G5 TV. It allows to change audio (speech, microphone, sound) settings of the following modes: Normal, Loud Speaker and Ear-phone.

Many chinese mobile phone manufacturers do not follow MTK guidelines, so you may want to change audio settings of your mobile phone.

Audio (speech, microphone, sound) settings that I use for Star G5 TV:

Note that you may use the program and these settings at your own risk. This is not a guide recommended by the manufacturer.

How to use ChinaPhone (MTK) AudioSetting v2.0
  1. Connect your MTK mobile phone to your PC with a USB cable.
  2. Download ChinaPhone (MTK) AudioSetting v2.0 archive and unpack it.
  3. Run ChinaPhone(MTK) v2.0.exe
  4. Hit the Setting button and select the COM port used by your cell phone (Note that, unlike Phone Suite, the program doesn't detect ports used by your PC, showing ports COM1-COM20).
    Set the Speed to "115200".
Hit the "Check up connection" button to check connection with your mobile phone.
Please note that you need to close all other programs that may use the same COM port (including Phone Suite), otherwise you may have connection problems.
    Hit the Exit button.
  5. To change the values, hit the "Read" button to get the audio settings used by your cell phone.
  6. After reading all the values, make a screenshot of them so that you can return to them later on.
  7. Change the values if needed and hit the "Write" button to save them.
  8. Close the program.
