Streaming server for individual streams

I'm looking for a streaming server software.

I've got a Linux server with different playlists in separate directories.
The server software should be able to stream an individual stream of a playlist to each listener.

There is no need for a online radio, each stream is individual for each listener.

I've heard about Icecast (open source, compatible with Shoutcast).
Does anybody know if Icecast could help me with eg. 10 individual streams?

Could you suggest any other software for this purpose?
