playing wmv file encrypted with drm. Firefox: this program cannot display webpage. All I can understand is freeme2 can play DRM wmv file if we know the SID key which can be found by drmdebug.

Where I am stuck is :- When I run drmdebug & give appropriate wmv directory & g:\ as drm2 directory. My g:\ is empty. I press multi scan then windows media player pops up & tries to acquire media usage rights from carpous.com then says 'this program cannot display webpage. you are not connected to internet.'. Though my firefox is surfing well. I thought SID key was present inside that wmv file (just like KID which freeme2 shows in verbose mode) so internet should not be needed. How do I get sid key ? I am using "drmdbg 2008/01/01 10:20 for indivbox.key v11.0.6000.7000" I got from http://www.sendspace.com/file/67h67o on windows vista. At virustotal Quote:

Last time I use DRM removal software on Windows Media files, I had better luck with FairUse4WM: 2009-01-10 FairUse4WM DRM-Remover Fix (by milOtis) |
