.IVR converter - Convert from Internet Video Recording (IVR) format to MP3,MPEG-2,4

Quote:
Can you help me find a converter for Internet Video Recording (IVR) format? I have dl-ed several files legally and would like to convert them to a format that my Windows PDA would recognize but I have not had any luck.

If you download the video that you are watching at tvparma.it, for example, the file is dl-ed by RealPlayer without any problem. But if I highlight it and choose convert, I get an error msg that it cannot be converted.

I sent an email to tech support of the RealPlayer and they replied saying that the IVR file format cannot be converted and is meant for live viewing. Yet, when you place the mouse pointer over the video, you get a pop-up option that ask you if you would like to download the video. So, what’s going on?
While RealPlayer seemed to originally be designed to prevent users from capturing/recording/ripping/saving downloading music or video content to their hard drives, the new version 11 allows users to save streaming content to hd. So RealPlayer became a stream ripper software.

The problem is that RealPlayer saves its recordings using its new proprietary format called Internet Video Recording (IVR). I can't tell you for sure whether it can save some streams to their native formats or not. At least it captures MP3 audio streams to .IVR files.

As far as I can remember RealPlayer has always been a "heavy" player. That is why many people prefer to use Real Alternative. The same situation is with RealPlayer as a stream ripper. It can't split and tag songs when ripping MP3 streams. It saves to .IVR files that can only be played by RealPlayer.

I haven't seen any audio/video converters for the .IVR (Internet Video Recording) files. If you wanna transfer your audio/video stream recording to a portable player, you should use other streaming audio/video rippers and streaming audio rippers.

For example, you can use Replay AV to record many audio/video streams and convert them automatically to the most popular formats after recording.

p.s. If you use RealPlayer as a stream ripper, it doesn't make your recordings legal automatically. Please also read the following thread for more:
Is it legal to record video streams? Can it be considered as a piracy?
