AverTV HD DVR: Problem capturing 1080i video from DVR: audio/video out of syncHi Every one!
I'm in a tough situation currently with my AverTV HD DVR AverTV HD DVR HDMI 720p/1080i capture card that I need help with if possible.. Here is the deal: I am currently using an HDCP workaround (you use the AverTV's old driver with VirtualDub). The thing is that I can capture 720p with ZERO problems through my DVR, but 1080i is giving me a very weird problem.. . Every single 1080i show that I record is perfectly in sync (audio and video), but by around ~4 minutes in.. the audio starts going out of sync.. I have no idea how to solve this and feel like I have tried EVERYTHING.. I have changed the chunk size/chunks (in Buffer / IO) .. I have used pretty much everything you can think of.. Tried different Hard drives (I have an SSD/WD Cavier Black/Seagate 7200 Barracuda).. I have tried it on two different computers (my main PC is a Intel i7 980x 6 core and my backup is a AMD Quad Core).. I have tried different codecs.. etc etc.. I am trying to capture Lossless video/audio and then encode that myself in a program like Megui.. I am pretty experienced in encoding.. but not very experienced in capturing.. but I have read up A LOT and have only had this card for 2 weeks .. I am using a direct feed of HDMI to my PC from my Uverse DVR. I also make sure to capture in "No Display" mode so it doesn't put as much stress on the PCI-E. Please help me with any suggestions you have for audio and video out of sync in 1920x1080 mode .. (this card can only capture up to 1080i).. I would GREATLY appreciate it guys.. I have tried a ton of other programs as well.. The only one that is remotely good that can do uncompressed video is a program call "AmarecTV," but it is a Japanese program so I can't go to their forums/website to actually diagnose why I am getting dropped frames/inserted frames.. I might also note that I am getting 0 dropped frames/inserted frames in VirtualDub with my change in the buffer/IO settings. Thanks!!!! |
