Can't access AvTech791 DVR from the InernetHi, i do have a similar issue with my DVR and streaming.
My dvr's static ip is 192.168.2.15 and is uses port 80. Port forwarding is set on my belkin router. I can access my dvr from my home, and i can enter into my dvr's settings panet, however i can not see any stream, it only shows Quicktime logo and 'negotiating' on quicktime's bottom bar. I tried to switch firewall off on my router but it did not help. Quicktime works fine over my internal ip address. (when i am at work and type 192.168.2.15) I use AvTech791 DVR (CPCAM CPD540 / KPC672 / MDR672). Any thoughts what could that be and how can i fix it? Thanks |

Re: Can't access AvTech791 DVR from the InernetYou are leaving out a lot of information.
What kind of computer are you using? I am going to assume that you are using a MAC computer. I assume this because of the quicktime is what you are seeing. For those of you with Macs then try this viewer for AVTech DVRs. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...rityviewe.html Apple computers do not use Active X, and most DVRs use Active X |
