Can't access AvTech791 DVR from the Inernet

Hi, i do have a similar issue with my DVR and streaming.

My dvr's static ip is 192.168.2.15 and is uses port 80. Port forwarding is set on my belkin router. I can access my dvr from my home, and i can enter into my dvr's settings panet, however i can not see any stream, it only shows Quicktime logo and 'negotiating' on quicktime's bottom bar. I tried to switch firewall off on my router but it did not help.

Quicktime works fine over my internal ip address. (when i am at work and type 192.168.2.15)

I use AvTech791 DVR (CPCAM CPD540 / KPC672 / MDR672).

Any thoughts what could that be and how can i fix it?

Thanks

You are leaving out a lot of information.

What kind of computer are you using?

I am going to assume that you are using a MAC computer. I assume this because of the quicktime is what you are seeing.

For those of you with Macs then try this viewer for AVTech DVRs.

Apple computers do not use Active X, and most DVRs use Active X
