Screen recording software question

Is it better to use a stream recorder like WM Video Clone or a Screen Recorder like Mirillis Action, Lite Cam HD, etc? Which type produces the highest quality recordings?

Yeah I looked at them. I purchased LiteCam HD for $15 Black Friday but wondering if that kind of recording software (like Mirillis and LiteCam HD use) produces a higher quality recording than the WM software. Earlier today I believe I read WM claiming their recordings are better than the screen capture software others use. But, I wanted to know what this board thought. WM Recorder itself doesn't look like it can record what I wish to record for personal viewing later. I have been able to use the Video Clone that comes with WM Recorder to get it (using the trial download). But, I am little unsure about which is the better quality because LiteCam/Mirillis and others let you dictate the resolution (up to 1080p). The only settings I can see that can be adjusted with WM was the bitrate I believe....

Re: Screen recording software question

Hey, there! I am afraid that I am not very familiar with Action!, only use it for several times but it works fine for a game recording. What I mostly heard of are Screencast-O-Matic, Jing, OBS, etc which many users think highly of. Just check this post and you will find some free screen recording applications for a high quality video recording.

In fact, video quality is mostly based on what you are recording. There is no need to compare which one is the best. Just find a feasible program for your own use.
