Saving Windows Media .wmv video stream from Yahoo TV (record rtsp:// stream on PC)

I've tried everything I know .. any advice?

http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/ver/21/...90&src=tv&ch=2

UPDATE: I managed to extract the following from the above site using URL Helper.

rtsp://63.250.197.31/bus01root6/bus01share22/__S__/yahootv/8/32634863.wmv?StreamID=32634863&pl_auth=6a3e536e163 1eb30494ae5d528781161&ht=30&pg=OTMzOTcxNTM5NDViZTE 5Nz&sl=81&so=%252Fytv%252Fyahootv%252Flost%252Fs3% 252Fneedaboat&b=8ois05h2l46kj45be1ec5&s=2022021743

But I still cannot play or save this to my pc.

I was able to capture the stream with WM Recorder in the AUTO recording mode. It seems that other software won't be able to record it.

p.s. WM Recorder is a unique stream recorder. It can capture packets coming to the Windows Media Player. No other software is that powerfull.

How did you actually capture it? Do you put in the RTSP stream into the URL or the HTTP URL ?

With WM Recorder in the AUTO recording mode you don't have to do anything to record the stream. You don't even have to hit the Record button.

1. Start WM Recorder and turn the AUTO recording mode ON (WM Recorder is very easy to use, but I suggest you to read its user guide anyway)

2. After that (I should repeat, after that) start your browser and navigate to a web-page with the embedded Windows Media Player. Play the stream in the browser.

3. The recording will be done automatically!

Re: Recording with WM Recorder in the AUTO mode

Thank you for taking the time to help me here.

Something is wrong still.

1) All browsers shut
2) I run WM Recorder and it's in Mode: PRO - Auto ON - Scheduler OFF
3) I run Firefox and then put it http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/ver/21/...90&src=tv&ch=2
4) I play the video but nothing happens in WM Recorder

I've had a look at the User Guide but did not see anything that may stop this working. Any ideas?

Thanks again in advance.

Re: Recording with WM Recorder in the AUTO mode

Ok I got a bit further.

I tried it in IE 7 and it detected the stream but there were 2 problems.

1) When it started to record it had a message "Cannot find recordings directory" although I have checked and it is there and valid.
2) The stream recieved 0.954 MB and then stopped allthough the clip is much larger than than.
