Saving a Live Webcast to the computer...HELP!!

Im probably posting this in the wrong place, but im kind of in a rush...

My brother is playing at Tipitina's in New Orleans tonight and the venue will be broadcasting a live webcast on their website of the show. It doesnt start until 10 and I dont think im going to be able to make it back in time and i really want to see it. so i was wondering... Does anyone know if its possible to save a live streaming webcast to a computer?? I dont really know what programs to use because im not familiar with any of that stuff. If anybody has done this before and could help me out, i would really appreciate it!
-Thanks.

There are different stream formats. None of the media stream recorders can record all the stream formats.

You should read about the stream you wanna save on the corresponding web-site. You may also post a link to the web page on which we can find the stream.

You may try the following programs: WM Recorder, Replay Media Catcher. Combined they can record 95% of the streams availlable.

There is no time so it is probably a good idea to use a screen video capture program instead of a stream recorder. Such programs can record any video from your screen. Some of them can record audio as well.

Streaming media URLs on the following page
http://tipitinas.com/content/webcast/
link to the files with .asx extensions.

It means that Windows Media streams are used. See the list of media stream recorders supporting Windows Media streams. WM Recorder is the most powerful Windows media streams recorder, besides it is very easy to use and can record Windows Media streams automatically.

You may also use many other programs. Some of them are free. If you're going to use other software you should learn How to get the URL of a media stream.
