Those are all from the same company, but I can't get any of them to work. GetFLV is the only product that works, unfortunately it crashes so much it takes up to 4 hours sometimes to download a couple of shows.

The latest version of NetXFer supports downloading RTMPE URLs. I still have problems finding them with built-in URL Finder, but hopefully there will be better support pretty soon.

Re: RTMPE stream recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

I'm sick and tired of rtmpdump. Is there any easy to use GUI program that can download/record/capture RTMPE streams?

I've read that Grab Pro can capture RTMPE, but it doesn't work for me. What version can handle RTMPE?

The only GUI application that can download RTMPE streams seems to be GetFLV. It is pricey and some users complain about its support, but hope it is a better alternative for you than rtmpdump. The latter program is really not an easy to use application. But due to DMCA restrictions we may not see anything better in the nearest future.

I haven't managed to capture RTMPE streams with Grab Pro. Where did you read about RTMPE support in Grab PRO?

GUI application that can download RTMPE streams:
How to download an RTMPE stream with StreamTransport:
  1. Open StreamTransport
  2. Paste the URL of the web-page you would like to record from into the URL editbox and hit the start button.
  3. Play your video
  4. An RTMPE URL will appear below the web-page
  5. Select the RTMPE URL and hit the Download button

How to download an RTMPE stream with Coojah+Blader:
  1. Open Coojah and select the Video tab
  2. Open your web-browser (make sure Coojah monitors the traffic from it) and navigate to a web-page you would like to record from
  3. Play your video in your browser
  4. In Coojah select an RTMPE URL that you want to download, right click on it and select "Download by Blader..."
  5. Choose a filename and folder if needed and hit the OK button
