About RTMP flash video streams:How long does it take to download, how to speed up,...I am new to stream recording, so please forgive me if the following questions are common knowledge. (Windows XP)
In general, how long does it take to download a one hour RTMP flash video stream? Will it always be around the actual playtime of the video? Are there any ways in speeding it up? How fast (in KB/s) should I expect the download to be? Is there a limit to how many simultaneous stream recordings to the same server I can run? Or, how many stream recordings have you tried to run concurrently? Thanks |

Re: About RTMP flash video streams:How long does it take to download, how to speed upQuote:
Some programs can capture packets from flash player, so they record stream in real time only. If you download an on-demand stream, it is usually faster than in real time. The speed depends on the speed of your connection as well as on the streaming server and network congestion. You can get a faster Internet connection, you can use downloading software instead of stream capture and screen capture software. However you can hardly do anything about the speed of a streaming server. Just get a demo version of software and test it on your favorite web-sites. Quote:
I've tried recording 5 and 10 streams simultaneously, but I don't usually do that. |
