Roxio Game Capture can't record HD videos, so why using it instead of say EasyCap?

Roxio Game Capture can't record HD videos. It costs twice less than Hauppage HD PVR, but it is much more expensive than EasyCap.

There are EasyCap DC60/DC60+ and EzCap 116 which is pretty confusing. Both have positive reviews as well as negative reviews, but the latter has more positive feedback. Roxio Game Capture is not ideal as well.

Personally I recommend Hauppage HD PVR (USB 2.0), Hauppage Colossus HD PVR (PCIe) and Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle (USB 3.0).
