Restreaming Shoutcast audio stream (http:// .mp3 or .aac) to LANHi,
I have an incoming audio stream coming on a URL. The stream is a shoutcast stream on HTTP protocol with MP3(or AAC) encoding. How can I re-stream this stream on my own local URL so that it is available on the LAN Thanks |

Re: Restreaming Shoutcast audio stream (http:// .mp3 or .aac) to LANYou can try to use VLC to rebroadcast Shoutcast streams. Some Shoutcast stream rippers support relay that allows to re-stream to LAN.

Re: Restreaming Shoutcast audio stream (http:// .mp3 or .aac) to LANThanks
Can I also re-stream MMS and RTSP streams through VLC? One more thing, when I re-stream, can I change the protocol and the codec? For example, if I have MMS stream coming with WMA codec, can I generate a HTTP stream with MP3 codec as an output stream? |

VLC allows you to re-stream without transcoding, but you can also use other formats and protocols. |
