republish protected stream to my local server: RTMPDump and FFmpeg on linux?Hey there, Title says the basic problem really, I have a dedicated linux server running debian 5.0, Well I have 2, they are both up and running so that I can take a protected stream from a website, and republish it to my local server, Now I didn't do this, a friend of mine did that I fell out with.
Now I wish to install the same thing as he did on my new server, I understand he uses FFmpeg and RTMPdump, But I want to learn how to install them. Can someone point me in the correct direction or help me out. Cheers, Ellis. EDIT : I was using commands such as : rtmpdump --live -r "rtmp://85.17.156.2/live/Paul2469" -p "http://www.streamsdirect.info/" -W "http://playerdump.99k.org/play.swf" -q | ffmpeg -i - -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f flv "rtmp://46.182.123.220/stream?doConnect=flow&doPublish=defim/channel15 flashver=FMLE/3.0\20(compatible;\20FMSc/1.0)" |
