Replay Media Catcher with Spotify/Napster

I've heard that Replay Media Catcher and WM Recorder can capture the streams as they are delivered giving better quality than you get when recording from your soundcard with something like Replay Music. Can services like Spotify and Napster detect the use of Replay Media Catcher/WMRecorder as it catches the stream when it can't detect something like Replay Music as it records directly from the soundcard?
