Remove DRM from ebook from overdrive library

I have a book I got from overdrive library and have it on my Kobo Reader as well as my laptop. It appears I am not going to finish this thing before it becomes inactive on my reader. Can I convert it to read at a later time? I just got my reader and I am new to this.

look up the appropriate method based on the file extension. I think most of these are ePub. Or, maybe even easier... just see if your library will let you renew online.

AFAIK Overdrive uses ePub files protected with Adobe Digital Editions DRM. You can remove DRM protection from such files. But I highly recommend not to abuse rental licenses and remove unDRMed file when your DRM protected ebook becomes inactive.
