Recording TheSecret.TV PayPerView stream (capturing .viv video from vividas player)

Anyone know how to record the video-streamed movie associated with thesecret.tv?

I have tried several app's with no luck. When the movie starts, it fills the screen and I cannot get to the controls of any app.

Re: Recording The Secret

To get controls of any app just press the Windows button or Alt+Tab. They use a custom player (whether it is an ActiveX or Java version). I don't think you can capture it with media stream recorders. Just use screen video capture program. And here is a couple of replies that prove my opinion:

for the trailer

you find the player files by looking in this .js ,
http://thesecret.tv/movie/player_script_trailer.js

http://video.thesecret.tv/thesecret/.../win32lib.jpeg
http://video.thesecret.tv/thesecret/...er/osxlib.jpeg
http://video.thesecret.tv/thesecret/...er/ocxlib.jpeg
http://video.thesecret.tv/thesecret/...vivid_ocx.jpeg

are the java player files...

then you have to assemble an html (and javascript) file to use those
files and your .viv file to playback.

it seems like a confusing .js file, so i am not sure how to make it
work off the harddrive.

if i find anything else about it i will let you know. otherwise it
looks like screen capture

Re: Recording TheSecret.TV PayPerView stream (capturing .viv video from vividas playe

Hi

I'm trying to capture this Vividas video http://video.vividas.com/CDN1/5167_P...ething_HD.html , i have tried both camstudio and snagit, the result has been the same (capture works up until video launches then you get black screen) except snagit caught the audio, have i missed a setting or is there some other piece of software that can catch this, its embedded in a webpage that launches i'm guess its because it on an over lay but i dunno, i'm new to this. Any help would be great, T.I.A

You should disable overlay or use screen video capture software that can record from overlay.
