Recording Surveillance Camera with a computer.Hi, this is my first post in this forum, so please forgive me if my questions are elementary, vague, or in the wrong place.
My boss has recently picked up some surveillance cameras to put in his yard because he has had problems in the past of people hopping the fence and scrounging when he wasnt looking. He got it set up and has a tv in his living room streaming live video to it. He is technologically illiterate and has asked me to set up a way to record the video on his computer. An old co-worker had went shopping with him when he bought the computer and picked out what "materials" he will need to set this up, and was going to do it untill he had to leave. Currently we have: Windows 7 OS laptop surveillance cameras which i have been told are wireless. and a router. it makes sense to me that the router could be used to connect the laptop and cameras, but i dont know how to connect them, or what to use to record the video. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and if any clarifications are needed please dont hesitate to ask, i will check back frequently. Thanks in advance, Rykin |

Re: Recording Surveillance Camera with a computer.Recording CCTV cameras with a DVR seems to be more reliable, so I have never even tried to record them with a computer.
