recording KPFK radio show from virtuallybaroque.com websitethere is a radio that i listen to after they post it online on their website. i've read some of the threads about recording live broadcast but am confused what software would allow me to capture the show from their website. they have links that send to show to my itunes and i listen to it there but it's hard to listen to a three+ hour show tied to my computer. so how do i record this to get onto my ipod?

Re: recording radio show from websiteI don't really see how to play your stream.
Also are you looking for a podcast client software or a stream recording software? |

Re: recording radio show from websiteYes I am looking for a stream recording software can you recommend one?
At the link I gave you when you look at the titles on the page like Thomas Dale Scott on Thomas Merton "The Many Gated City" there is a little icon at the end of that sentence. Clicking on that downloads the stream to my iTunes. Once in my iTunes, as long as I am connected to the internet, the link will play. I just want to be able to get it into my iPod so I can listen on the run. |

Re: recording radio show from websiteI'm not sure whether I got it right. But I went to the archive
_http://64.27.15.184/parchive/ and found the following: "Something's Happening with Roy of Hollywood Part A Dave Emory "For the Record #705 - Update on 9/11 and Related Matters” // Silvia Ribeiro, "Geoengineering the Planet" Addressing the Effects, not the Causes, of Climate Change // Peter Dale Scott on Thomas Merton, "The Many Gated City" // Eben Rey, "Radio Alchymy" with Bob Chapman, The International Forecaste" It has a link leading to _http://64.27.15.184/parchive/m3u.php?mp3fil=26817 If you right click on a link and save it as an m3u.php (or m3u.txt) file, and then open it with a text editor like Windows Notepad, you should see something like Code:
#EXTM3U #EXTINF:8719,,Something's Happening with Roy of Hollywood Part A Thursday, April 29, 2010 http://64.27.15.184/parchive/mp3/kpfk_100429_000100somethingshappeningA.MP3 You can also download most content from the archive using your favorite podcast manager. If you do it with iTunes, then just sync with iPod using iTunes. Otherwise drag-n-drop your MP3 files onto iTunes and then sync with your iPod. Of course you can use Replay AV to find MP3 stream URLs, download them (or download MP3 podcasts with it) and add downloads to iTunes, but the program is not free, so if you need it for this web-site only, you can do everything with your browser, iTunes and Notepad only. |
