Replay Music should record. Please read the user guide.

Can you record music from other web-sites?

Have you read the Replay Music user guide?

What does the volume unit meter of Replay Music shows?

What input source did you use? (see the settings of Replay Music)

yes, i read the user guide... See, when i goto www.dishant.com/ i choose the song i want to play... then i open the software and click on record.. it asks me to choose the genre , i do so.. and then i click on "play" on the website to start the media..

However, the volume unit meter does not show any activity. I don't know why is this happening... but there is no activity

please check if the software is capable of recording any song from this site or not? or is it capable of recording only from Rhapsody, Napster, iTunes, Yahoo Music Unlimited?

Recording Real Streams from embedded internet player (Real Player)

Replay Music can record any sound produced by the sound card (as a direct sound recording software). It is capable of recording from any music service or web-radio stations including Rhapsody, Napster, iTunes, Yahoo Music Unlimited!

You must be using a wrong Input source. Please check back your Input source in the Replay Music settings.

There may also be a problem with the Output source of your player. The web-site uses embedded Real Player to stream files. Check the settings of your Real Player.
I've used Real Alternative and the default output device of the Windows Media player classic. I was able to record from the embedded player with Replay Music. And I was able to right-click on the player and select "Play in the Real Player" to play and record Real Stream from Media Player Classic.

Record Real Player RTSP streams with RM Recorder like stream recorder

Record Real Player RTSP streams with RM Recorder like stream recorder

Although Replay Music is good at recording any music, most probably it will have problems tagging songs that are not very popular in the US. And it is always better to use a stream recorder that downloads streaming content if possible. By using it you can receive better quality 'coz your recordings won't be affected by the sound card quality, system settings and your internet connection. Besides some stream recorders can download faster using multiple threads (not with online streams).

Dishant.com streams Real Media through the RTSP protocol. Several stream recorders can save such streams to the harddisk. I prefer to use RM Recorder in the PRO mode. It allows me to record with one click only. I've tested RM Recorder on Dishant with several online streams as well as several other songs. I was able to record all Real Media streams without any problem.
Note that in the PRO mode you should start RM Recorder first, click the Record button and only after that start your browser window and open a page with an embedded internet player.

p.s. If you have a good description of Dishant.com, please post a link with it into the Interesting audio/video streams forum. It is a very nice source of music from India.

Real Alternative replacement of the Real Player

Real Alternative is a nice free replacement of the Real Player. It allows you to play Real Video/Real Audio files with Windows Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player or any other DirectX based players.

Unlike the Real Player, Real Alternative doesn't bother you with ads or other unpleasant stuff. After trying Real Alternative people never return to the Real Player

Google for Real Alternative to know more and to find a download source.

Nice thing about RM Recorder is that it can record Real streams when you watch them (Pro or Ada mode) even if you have Real Alternative and not the Real Player.

As for saving Real Player buffer to harddisk, there hardly ever be any plug-in. Media streaming was created to allow you to watch media content, not to save it to the HD. Although there are lots of stream rippers nowadays that can record the most popular media streams.
