Recording to dvd from YouTube:Flash players,FLV streams, recorders, converters.I'm lost

I bought this computer a month ago, so I am lost. I want to record to dvd from youtube, but have no idea what to do. The more I visit instructional sites, the more confused I become. Flv streams, flash players, flv recorders, converters, save as, do this, download that, change to flv. Isn't there someone out there in Help Heaven that can help someone like me?

YouTube uses Flash .FLV video streams. They are broadcasted through the HTTP protocol so you may download them even with your browser (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera).

I suggest you to download videos from youtube using free download manager called Orbit Downloader.

After downloading flash .FLV videos from youtube you may convert them using free audio/video converter called MediaCoder. It can convert to DVD format.

However I don't really suggest to convert do DVD 'coz youtube videos are not of a good quality. They are OK to view in a small windows, not at a full screen on large TV.

To watch youtube videos on your TV you may use a videocard with TVout or standalone devices like Apple TV.

Please note that many new standalone DVD players support MPEG4 format. It might be better to convert youtube .flv videos to it.

The nice thing about Replay Media Catcher is that it can capture videos from youtube automatically. All you have to do is to play the youtube video and it will be saved to your hard disk.

But the best thing is that Replay Media Catcher renames videos downloaded from youtube. So instead of weird file names like "DE1npIIOUus.flv" you will get perfectly named files like "YouTube - How to eat with chopsticks". If you download many videos from youtube Replay Media Catcher saves lots of time.
