You will need:
- Dazzle DVC 100
- xbox 360
- RCA Male to Dual RCA Female Adapter (for splitting audio and video for your TV and Dazzle DVC)
- Triple 3 RCA AV audio/video cables (one for connecting to Dazzle DVC and another one for connecting to your TV)
- Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder software
Please note that Instant DVD Recorder has basic recording functionality only. Some users buy Dazzle DVC 100 with Pinnacle Studio 14 (12).
How to record xbox 360 gameplays with Dazzle DVC 100
- Connect 3 RCA Male to Dual RCA Female Adapters to Dazzle DVC 100 (To red, yellow and white connectors in the front of your Dazzle)
- Use Triple 3 RCA AV audio/video cables to connect xbox 360 with the corresponding adapters:
[xbox 360] -> (red connector of RCA AV cable) -> (RCA male to dual RCA female adapter) -> [red RCA connector on dazzle]
[xbox 360] -> (yellow connector of RCA AV cable) -> (RCA male to dual RCA female adapter) -> [yellow RCA connector on dazzle]
[xbox 360] -> (white connector of RCA AV cable) -> (RCA male to dual RCA female adapter) -> [white RCA connector on dazzle] - Use 3 slots of the adapters to connect to your TV with another Triple RCA AV audio/video cable.
- Install the recording software (Instant DVD Recorder or Pinnacle Studio).
- Plug your Dazzle DVC 100 into a USB port of your computer.
DVC 100 should have a green light showing that your computer is ready and waiting.
- Make sure you use SD video on your xbox 360, because Dazzle supports SD video only (so flip the switch on xbox from HD to TV if needed).
- If your Instant DVD Recorder or Pinnacle Studio shows black and white video in the preview window, you will need to download amcap and switch from NTSC to SECAM:
- Download and install "amcap".
- Launch "amcap". Ignore any error messages.
- In "amcap" go to "Options" -> "Video Capture Filter".
- Select the "Video Decoder" tab.
- Click the box that says "NTSC_M" and change it to "Secam_B".
- Press the Record button when needed.
