Record WindowsMedia from cs.washington.edu (save school course for offline viewing)Hello:
This is a great website. I came to this website using this link http://all-streaming-media.com/strea...g-off-line.htm I have a similar question. Is their a way to save content from this link http://www.cs.washington.edu/educati...des_video.html 1. I have viewed in IE and then had a look at IE cache and I can see the big file out there. Then I copy the big file to a different location and try to play, it doesn't. My 2 cents. What Microsoft streaming technology is now doing is it copies to your cache and then your Media Player plays it from there. But the cache content is encoded in some way at the beginning that it require some server signature I believe, because if it had wanted the client signature that's already embedded in the Windows Media Player and would have played, but it doesn't. Anyway, any suggestions or tips to save Washington.edu stream for offline viewing ? Thanks. |

recording streams from the Windows Media PlayerYou may also find more free audio/video lectures on this web-site.
To record Windows Media stream from cs.washington.edu you may use any stream recorder supporting Windows Media streamed through MMS protocol. I prefer to use WM Recorder from the Replay Video Suite. It is free to try and it has a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee. Last edited by Stream Recorder : 12-27-2005 at 02:41 AM. |
