Radiotracker Streaming Software - Is it worth trying?

Hi
New to this forum... And I have a question
Anyone here Radiotracker user?
I haven't used it, but I have some friends who use only Radiotracker and say that it is great, especially the last versions brought some good improvements.
I would also like to try it, but I thought that I ask arround first (outside my circle of friends )

Re: Radiotracker Streaming Software - Is it worth trying?

RadioTracker is an audio stream recorder, supporting Shoutcast/Icecast MP3 radio stations. It can split songs and tag them automatically.

Many other audio stream recorders can record such web radio stations. For example freeware StreamRipper supports Shoutcast/Icecast audio streams, but it can record not only MP3 streams, but also OGG and AAC streams.

Radiotracker Platinum has a very unique feature:
Radiotracker Platinum's built-in music database provides you with listings of over 80,000 artists and their music. Simply point, click and add your favorite artists and titles to your Wish List. Radiotracker delivers the music you've selected in MP3 format as soon as it is played on any of over 14,000 watched internet radio stations worldwide.
Note that Radiotracker Premium lacks for this feature.

If you need a powerful MP3 search tool, you should try it. Otherwise if you know how to find streaming audio online for free and that is enough for you, stick to a freeware audio stream recorder.

Re: Radiotracker Streaming Software - Is it worth trying?

Hi littledancer,

I used several Internet Radio streaming softwares like Stream Ripper, Station Ripper, Audio Streamer, Internet Radio Player cause they were all free, had not to pay for them. They were ok, but if you want quality you should think about giving out some money and you'll get something in return. Radiotracker is the one I use now, it is not free, but it is worth every penny IMO
I like it because I have no trouble in using it, I mean you don't have to be an expert to use it, it is extemely easy to work with.

2. ID3-tag editor, cover artwork, lyrics
3. live listening with integrated player
4. unlimited parallel station ripping
5. fading and normalisation
6. ringtone generator (i like this part)

Yes, you may purchase RadioTracker Platinum to record MP3 Shoutcast radio stations or you may buy RS Audials bundle that includes the following software:
  • TagRunner - automatically completes the ID3 tags in your music collection
  • PodSpider - searches for podcasts
  • RingHero - creates your own mobile phone ringtones

OK, I see, but I wasn't refering to the bundle, but to features of Radiotracker. At point to and six I was talking about features of Radiotracker only (ID3-tag editing and ringtone creating). So it can do that also

Re: Radiotracker Streaming Software - Is it worth trying?

Hi everybody!

Already heard about the new version? Radiotracker 3 si even better than the last version. Especially the improved wishlist function using a kind of p2p network. That makes it easier and faster to get a lot of free music from internet radio stations.

Re: Radiotracker Streaming Software - Is it worth trying?

Hi,

I finally made up my mind and bought Radiotracker and I am happy that I did. I have downloaded in a few days more mp3's than I ever had on my PC, it's incredible. I set up the wishlist function and now I also have my favourite tracks. Not all of them but now I have all the time to do so. I just leave Radiotracker to find the music that I want
