Q-dance MP3 stream rip problem (QT http:// audio stream)

Hey people,

nice forum you have, perfect for my following stream problem that I do have:

Q-dance MP3 streams, for example at the following site:
http://www.q-dance.nl/main.php?pid=124&partyid=6423
Although the full MP3-Url is viewable, I'm not able to rip the full MP3 (without re-encoding).

Do you know any solution for this problem?

All the best
sebastian

Re: Q-dance MP3 stream rip problem

Replay Media Catcher 2.1 can capture the stream if you have MP3 Snagger turned on (The MP3 Snagger is really a "real time MP3 recorder" - the name will be changed in the next update. It works by just looking for MP3 streams as they pass into your PC, and doesn't try to re-establish a connection.) Thanx to Bill from Applian for the hint.

Also HiDownload and NetXFer can record it if you use "QuickTimeWinInet" as a user-agent.

Another cool trick from Bill (Applian Technologies)
Quote:
You can force a QuickTime user agent change in Replay A/V by adding ?RAV=QT to the end of any URL. You can also add
?RAV=WMP and ?RAV=REAL for Windows Media Player and Real user agents.
Thanx Bill! We can now record such streams with Replay A/V as well.
