Purchased iTunes Video DRM Removal

I purchased a number of videos yesterday from iTunes, and, because of the horrid video encoding, and the fact that both iTunes and QuickTime are memory-hogs, my slightly less than average computer is unable to play the files without the video lagging to the point of being unwatchable. I've shut down everything extraneous that was running on my computer and tried playing the files in QuickTime, but after about 2 minutes, the video began lagging again.

I normally have no objection to Copy-Protection on files, but this is ridiculous. I paid for the videos and I want to be able to watch them. Tunebite obviously won't work because it depends on being able to record from iTunes, and the fact that I can't get the video to play at any watchable speed is my whole problem. Is there anyway, regardless of what hoops I have to jump through, to remove the protection on these videos so that I can play them on one of my less bulky players?

Re: Purchased iTunes Video DRM Removal

Screen video capture software or Tunebite requires you to play DRM proteted files.

What can you do?

Try QuickTime Alternative. I dunno whether it supports DRM protected files.

What else? Upgrade your computer or at least try to optimize its performance. You can
- turn off Windows Services that will never be used by you,
- defragment your hard disk,
- turn off your antivirus software,
- use 16 bit colors instead of 32 bits,
- optimize your windows for best performance (instead of effects),
- do not allow some applications to start with Windows automatically,
- watch videos in a window instead of full screen mode,
...

Re: Purchased iTunes Video DRM Removal

Recently iTunes Music Store started selling music without DRM protection. Such music files cost 30% more than DRM protected ones, but they also have higher bitrate.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to purchase videos without DRM protection in iTunes?
