Need help recording rtsp/mms streamHello,
I have subscribed for the Iptv service from www.streambox.tv . I used url snooper to get the channel links , they are: rtsp://208.69.192.140/zcine But when i right click on the .ASX metafile and view properties in their player i see this play list Code:

<ref href="mms://208.69.192.140/zeetv"/>
</asx> I tried to open these mms, rtsp links with either windows media server or vlc player. In vlc player it opens sometimes plays for 1-2 seconds and stops. I dont understand why it doesnt open. I am trying to record some programs from these channels for watching them later. any help is greatly appreciate and am willing to pay if someone can provide a solution. THanks, Shiva |

Problem with playing and recording mms / rtsp video stream from streambox.tvVLC player is not very good at rtsp:// streams.
As for Windows Media Player (WMP), you can try to change the bandwidth settings and/or update your WMP problem. I don't really see any other problem. streambox.tv is a subscription based web TV service, but its streams are not password protected. This is absolutely insane, 'coz many users will be able to watch their streaming TV channels without paying!!! Many media stream recorders can record non-protected Windows Media video streams. Some of them are free. However live Windows Medis streams are best recorded with WM Recorder in the PRO mode. In this mode WMR captures netowork packets coming to your PC when you watch your streaming video. |

Re: Problem with playing mms / rtsp stream from streambox.tvMy connection is too slow to open it.
You can try some media stream recorders like WM Recorder or NetTransport. All of them have free trial versions so you don't have to buy them. |
